CBD oil for tinnitus induced insomnia

Just wondering if anyone has used CBD oil ( not THC) for insomnia induced tinnitus please?

I need an alternative to mirtazapine as I am habituating to the sleep benefits and it has made the T noise more intrusive

There are conflicting posts on other forums about it being either improving or worsening tinnitus

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated please

Not sure if it helps but here is the position the BTA have on CBD oil tinnitus.org.uk/tinnitus-an...

Thanks for replying Yes I know the BTA position but based on real life experiences a lot of folk swear by CBD

There is one thing that I have learnt and that is that one size doesn't fit all

Doesn't matter what medication or supplement it is ,there are those " for and against "

I sometimes wonder if the 95% who are happy don't put stuff on the internet but the 5% who aren't happy do so .?

Yip, some of those who aren't 'happy' can be very vocal. BTW, I did try CBD oil when I first had the condition (which also resulted in not being able to sleep) and CBD oil made no difference on my T or sleep but as you say everyones T and reaction to 'treatments' are unique.

It is an expensive path to take if it doesn't work For those who it does work for ,that is great

i guess at the end of the day i may give it a try even just to satisfy myself either for it working or not

I think as our T, behavioral type, stress levels, mental health, etc. are all unique one of the challenges we face is finding what works for our T. I found a combination of distraction and behavioral techniques worked for me. I to really struggled with sleep and have posted on here before the 'plan' I put in place which helped me over time to get back to normal sleep patterns. Stay safe

I appreciate you getting back to me

If I search surreycccfan " Plan " no doubt I shall find you strategy for sleep

Thanks again

I use CBD oil for all sorts of health benefits and feel that is definitely beneficial. Completely natural too rather than taking a drug induced route.

Hello Sazzyrich If you are unfortunate enough to have tinnitus does CBD aggravate it or not ?

How often do you take it please?

Peter

I’ve tried several brands of CBD oil, and several strengths, it does nothing at all. It’s an expensive waste of money for me. It didn’t have any effect on my T, it did nothing.

Thanks for the feed back Philip6I appreciate your honest opinion

Did it help with insomnia please as this is the reason that I am interested?

It is always difficult to know what to do with new medication

Some give glowing reports and others like yourself say it is a waste of money

Guess there is only one expensive way to find out

Hi … yes I am using CBD drops for sleep and anxiety. I get mine through my GP . I think they do help a bit, but I also medication for anxiety which also makes me sleep . One thing I hate is waking up with tinnitus ! Good luck with drops. I did try once the drops with the THS and I had a terrible reaction to them . Very scary . Take care 🦋

Surreyccc fan suggested to me the Resound Tinnitus relief app on your smart phone .Have a play with it .Really good. Switch on white noise to go to sleep ?Also doglover suggested the book living with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis by McKenna Baguley and Mcferran .Worth reading as it can change the way we think about Mr T

We are all stuck with Mr Tinnitus but rather than fight him ,just accept that he is there

And slowly you will start to automatically ignore Mr T s presence

Hi I have tried the cbd drops and thought they are good. I didn’t try the THS . I’ve had operations on my right ear so as well as chronic tinnitus I have awful pain . Going back into hospital tomorrow for a ketamine infusion .. oops sorry raved on there … just wanted to get this off my chest . Good luck with the drops I went through a Dr and they can be expensive !

I find Melatonin in meds form helps , maybe worth a try! Agree with you though , we’re all different but with the same problem! Best…

I found that 2mg slow release Melatonin made me feel depressed and agitated until noon after which my mood went back to normal I wonder if others have had morning lows after Melatonin

Hi I tried CBD oil from Holland and Barrett when I first started with Tinnitus and it did help me sleep and stay asleep. The only thing I would say is I did feel a bit stoned the next day sometimes which was okay but I wouldn’t have wanted to work at anything too demanding the next day.

Thanks for sharing The only way for me to know is to try as it seems to affect everyone so differently

CBD for tinnitus is becomin a scam magnet in the U.S. (See link below.)

I think the jury is out as to whether CBD can helpt tinnitus or insominia. Some people claim it can mitigate any health condition, whic his preposterous.
