Hello everyone, i hope you are all well. I'm new to this site and am someone who is struggling with Tinnitus. I've had it since 2005 and its only since 2019 that it has started to really bother me. 2021 has definitely been the worst year for me so far. I have Low frequency hearing loss which is apparently not very common and even more uncommon in someone my age which is 38. I've had blood tests and MRI all came back ok. I dont seem to see many posts anywhere of ppl who actually have Low frequency hearing loss....the majority of people have high frequency hearing loss. Just wondering if anyone else out there has it and what caused it etc. I also suffer with dizziness (sometimes vertigo when i wake in the mornings). ENT don't think its Meniere's Disease as the pattern to which i have the vertigo attacks don't measure up to Meniere's?! Even though i have all the symptoms of it (minus the fullness of the ear). I dont drink alcohol or caffeine and trying to not have alot of salt in my diet.
Would just some answers as to what is causing the T and more importantly what's making it to increase in volume! Past week has been absolutely awful😪Thanks for reading

Welcome to this site. I am sorry to hear you are struggling . A lot of us are finding tinnitus very hard to come to terms with and we all try our own different techniques of trying to cope. At least you do know that your not alone , this I find a comfort , I find it hard though to know and realise there isn’t an actual cure . If you read back some of the posts on here going back even a few years there are some very interesting facts and so many different coping strategies . Keep yourself very busy and keep walking outside in the fresh air . It all helps with relaxation .
Thank you for your reply. Its a very dark world with Tinnitus....you have alright days and then just plain bad days😪! Am trying different breathing/ relaxation techniques which I'm hoping will help. I guess we have to take 1 day at a time! I hope you have a great day😁
Thank you for replying . Your definitely going on the right path . Things should improve for you and me as we learn to habituate. They seem to use the word “ to habituate “. I think it’s meant as in our brains learn to accept and tune into this tinnitus . It’s not easy but one step at a time . Keep relaxing !!!! Have a nice day too. 😃 😊
