I’m sorry jojomac that you’ve had vertigo - it’s horrible isn’t it! It could be a coincidence that it’s come at the same time as new hearing aids.It is well known that if you have your ears syringed to get rid of wax (in the days when doctors surgeries used to do this) it is normal to feel dizzy afterwards. It’s your brain compensating for a sudden change.
My husband had severe vertigo after he used hearing aids for the first time. Hearing aid centre said it was unconnected. He was told later by health visitor it could have been pressure caused by inserting the aids into the ear.
Sorry to hear that . It is a really horrible thing. They just seem to dismiss it . Anything I have read say it is rare but that means it can happen to some people. Did it take long to settle down
He was a given an anti sickness injection which worked almost instantly and he was given some anti sickness tablets to take if needed. Luckily it subsided over a couple of days and never came back
