Posting this for my wife who is ironically an Audiologist. She gets like every 6 months hearing loss in the left ear suddenly that lasts a couple days then comes back. She also told me that she had Tinnitus for a long time..many years...
She had a coworker test her since they are Audiologists anyway and it did show a decrease again in the left ear. The staff doctors at her Clinic want to do an MRI which she says is no big deal..but I am freaking out of course.
Does ANYONE who has Tinnitus also get this waxing and waning of sudden hearing loss in one ear? Then it comes back? She says she has had Tinnitus in both ears for a long time but it is Louder in left ear. Which is the one in question.
I'm just a concerned husband trying to assist even though obviously she knows a lot more about this subject than I do..
Thanks for your time!

Yes I have a noise in both ears that varies quite a lot. It sounds like an electrical buzzing and I spent weeks trying to find the source of it in my home until I realised it was in my head! Sometimes I think it has gone but then it returns with me hearing it loudly at night, when everything else is quiet.
