....I wish - the 62 bit is right though!

Hi everyone!

Bass player in loud rock bands - no protection - playing for over 30 years - always suffered mildly until L/down in March '20 - and boom (or rather 'wheeeee') constant both ears now.

My advice - stress is a killer - and if you wanna play in a band - wear protection.

Umm - that's it for now.

How long did you have tinnitus ? Did you have tinnitus since you started playing(30 years) ?

Hi Plymouth

If you can find a rock musician who doesn't experience tinnitus to some degree after playing music for a number of years, I'd certainly like to meet them - they seem few and far between. A representative example - walesonline.co.uk/news/loca...

A lot of folks are noting that their tinnitus has been elevated since the onset of lockdowns and coronavirus restrictions - I'm sure that part of this is stress-related and some of it is connected with how quiet the world can be when we work from home more often. 🤔

Thanks for sharing your experience and good advice.
