Hello deltec. I remember you’ve posted before.

You are not alone with this. But it may take time to settle - maybe months rather than weeks - and it will probably never go away. You have to learn to deal with it. Just like learning a new skill - playing the piano, riding a bike, baking cakes - it takes a while to learn. Some things take longer than others and everyone learns in a different way..

There are lots of tips on the British Tinnitus Association website to help you.

Hi deltec ,

I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, but could it be that you're trying too hard to 'fix' the tinnitus? Sometimes people get so focussed on ways to get rid of their tinnitus that it actually makes it worse because they spend most/all of their time thinking about it. As Happyrosie said, maybe try something else like learning a new skill - not because it might help your tinnitus but because it will be something you enjoy and gain satisfaction from.
