I would like to attempt to play electric drums again.... just for fun. I was wondering what sort of thing I could wear to protect my ears. Have got musicians alpine plugs but is that enough to avoid spiking my T?

what do musicians with Tinnitus wear?

I’m thinking the same...I used to play drums for years then stopped and started again but when I started i wore ear plugs and they helped massively...wish I wore them from the beginning!!
hearformusicians.org.uk/ they do bespoke earplugs. I'm not a musician but I am aware of the scheme. Hope that's helpful.
I play guitar and ukulele, but have switched to mostly acoustic, non-amplified playing, due to fear of worsening my T. I have tried several earplugs that are a step up from the cheap foam variety, and even got a pair of plugs custom-molded for my ears. They are all good at blocking sound, but after dealing with T for nearly a decade, it's impossible to tell if they actually have an impact on it. Sad to report that I don't think anything, including a dead silent, monk-like existence, will ever "cure" the T or keep it from spiking whenever the hell it wants to. I've learned to simply adjust and adapt to the T as best I can, and go on with life.
