Just joined a few minutes ago and been reading a few things some of you have been saying about tinnitus. Had it myself for some years now and recently got worse, but from what I've read here I don't feel very hopeful of getting help any time soon. On sleeping tablets at the mo but haven't spoken to anyone about it, just put up with it over the years.

I got diagnosed with mine, but that was that & have simply like you put up with it ever since as feel silly talking about it, but think I could be on some tablets for it, not sure which ones though

Don't worry about talking about it.The more people who know about it the better. It's a total pain and more should be known about itand more help should be available. Cheers.

I dunno if I should with my new surgery as dunno what they could do different compared to my old 1. Most of the time I don't notice it, just when it flares up

Had my tinnitus for years but one ear really loud now so I'm looking for help for the first time. Seeing the doc on Wed but not expecting too much. Noise is constant.

Mine is most of the time, but drown it out with the radio or TV, but sometimes that doesn't work

Good luck for Wed

On wednesday got some sleeping pills 14. Sleeping great so no anxiety before bed, really pleased about that but still prefer to be around some kind of noise during daylight hours.

in reply toArtee

So do I as can hear it otherwise & it's really annoying, so have had to learn to ignore it as much as possible. Drove me crazy until I was told what it was
