Did anyone watch this programme this morning. My daughter messaged as there was an article about a tinnitus cure.
I’m abroad at the moment and I can’t access the ITV hub. Can anyone tell me what the article was about. My daughter never actually saw it so she can’t tell me what was said.

I watched it after my parents told me about it and honesty I think the guy was just talking about basic stuff: Distraction. Using radios to drown out the noise. Learning to try and force yourself to ignore it so your brain thinks it’s an unimportant noise again - retraining.
He claimed to have cured himself of it although gave very little detail. I think in all honesty he most likely had temporary Tinnitus and thought he had some cure but from what I heard and saw he didn’t seem to give any real detail on anything we don’t know already.
I was ticked afterwards because they played a high pitched sound without warning people watching who might have tinnitus. Mine can sometimes catch a pitch and play that pitch for a few hours and did. I wasn’t in agony or anything but it was very discomforting for a few hours.
Then again I may have missed him say something. I was and am sorry that it was a let down.
I and many more were shocked as he was introduced as a ENT consultant who had cured himself of T.He was saying basic things that is already on the internet and when was asked direct questions like about medication etc he just changed the subject.Eamond asked him So you say you cured your self of your T ?
His reply was my T started very low then went very high but with no explanation to what he did but he was cured. I can't understand why the show had him on there as he was giving T sufferers the impression that there is a cure .Then when he was asked another question regarding T he replied we don't a lot about T etc.
I don't think him being on show has done his reputation any good ,as they must have known he was struggling as it seamed to me they got fed up listening within 4 minutes .I was shocked that a Consultant would put themselves on a live tv show giving people with T there is a cure. because at no point did this bloke say no I did not say cure.In fact Eamond asked him first off so you say you have cured your T .
I have a feeling midway through the interview the realises he knew very little or just the basics and someone told Eamon to end the interview.
All these people who claim they have the cure. Are plain and simple. SNAKE OIL
Sales men !!! They prey on the Afflicted and make millions on stuff that don’t do anything in the beginning I would buy anything to get rid of the noise I fell for this scam of scams take it from me there is nothing out there to cure this. There is medicines and anti depressants that comfort the noise to a level we can be normal .

I wont bother watching 😡 how annoying that he was on the show in the first place.
I recorded this and watched it a couple of times. I feel that they never give enough time or go into much depth when discussing tinnitus. Such as the devastating impact that tinnitus has on the lives of those who suffer with it.
