Hello, I live in hertford, hertfordshire. does anyone know of a tinnitus help/support group reasonably local? I have had tinnitus for too many years, at least 30, at the moment I am finding it really hard to cope. Would be good to get some support from somewhere! Janice

Hello and welcome to the British Tinnitus Association forum.

Do feel free to ask any questions, I hope that you find this a helpful and supportive place to help you manage your tinnitus.

You can find Support groups by using this link tinnitus.org.uk/find-a-supp...

We have some resources that you might like to check out in addition to our home here:

tinnitus.org.uk (information and support details)

takeontinnitus.co.uk (free tinnitus management programme)

Helpline 0800 018 0527 (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm) (outside the UK you can call +44 (0)114 250 9922)

Kind regards

Hi Janice, I live near Hertford and like you looked for a support group but couldn’t find one close enough. I think there is a group at Addenbrooks but I dont know if it’s just for their patients. I have a referral there on the 29th April so will let you know

Hello. I see there is one at hitchin, might give that on a go. Just feel it would be good to talk with someone else who can understand.

Morning Janice

I never found that one, would you be able to send me the details or the link to where you found it please . Might give it a go myself. I agree with you, I don’t know anyone who has this awful condition myself and when you’re not coping very well or going through a spike it would be nice to talk to someone who understands. I’ve only had it a year but it feels like a lifetime. Take care.

Hi Janice

Was wondering if you went to the support group? And how did you find it? Also I live near Hertford and wondered if you wanted to meet in town for a coffee and chat one day?
