You are the first people to know outside of the BTA, because I'm so excited to share this! Thanks to all of you who play the National Lottery, BigLotteryWales have awarded us a grant of nearly £9,000. We'll use that to train 27 new tinnitus support group facilitators, and to set up 9 new tinnitus support groups across north and west Wales. We can't wait to share details of the new groups as they form!

Warmest wishes

Any plans in future to have more support groups in Scotland? As far as I’m aware there is only one which meets in Edinburgh and only has infrequent meetings in Murrayfield.

Hi HissingSid

There are currently three groups in Scotland - Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Glasgow I know meets more frequently than Edinburgh does, so might it be a possibility for you?

I can't promise more groups, but I believe we've got a bid in with Awards for All Scotland for a similar project in Scotland to the Welsh one, so keep your fingers crossed for us!

The support group in Edinburgh is nearest for me but meets only 5 times a year in an out of city centre venue which would mean 2 bus journeys to get there. I may try to get to one just to see if this trip would be a useful one for me to make. I have email address for contact so I can get information on what the support group does so that I can decide if it will be worth it.

Could you please tell me if there's any tinnitus support groups in North Miami Florida. Thank you very much

Hi Freddy17

I work for the British Tinnitus Association, so I only have information on groups in the UK.

Our good friends and colleagues at the American Tinnitus Association do have a list of support groups on their website, and a number of places in Florida are listed, but not being a native, I don't have a clue if they are near Miami or not. But take a look here:

I hope Hurricane Michael hasn't affected you too badly.

Hi, I'm a new member. Can you tell me if there are any support groups that meet in the Powys or Shropshire area. Many thanks.

Hello there - you can find all our groups information at tinnitus.org.uk/find-a-supp... and see which ones are closest or meet at the best times for you. There's certainly a couple meet in Shropshire, not sure about Powys at the moment.

Warmest wishes
