Are you referring to the supplement/tablets containing magnesium, maritime pine bark and ginkgo biloba available from H&B and maybe elsewhere? Not tried it but willing to try anything.

I take Ginko Biloba have done for years can’t say it has done any good but Ginko Bilbao is also good for other health

No, I haven’t. I do take magnesium a couple of hours before bedtime as I believe it helps with sleep.

Remember when on the old forum Montmorency cherry juice was recommended to help with sleeping? I do still have that from time to time and perhaps it helps.

I do find however that when I am in good health my tinnitus is quiet. When I am anxious or poorly (other chronic health conditions) my T becomes bothersome

I just wanted to let you know that amitryptiline is a non-addictive tricyclic antidepressant and can be taken every night. It has some sedating properties.

Magnesium citrate is the best form of magnesium to take for sleep and works well with 1 or 2mg of Melatonin.

Cheers

You’re very welcome Elliot. Yes you can buy melatonin over the counter in Canada now.

I also buy a really good supplement from Amazon that really helps me with sleep. It’s a bit pricey so I can’t take it every night.

It’s called, “NATURAL CALM”, Calmful

Sleep. It’s a very good combination product that has, magnesium citrate, melatonin, L-theanine, and GABA. They all help with sleep. Any of them on their own work well to improve sleep. But if you can only buy one ingredient, magnesium is the

most important as most of us our depleted and magnesium helps many other physical and emotional symptoms.

I hope I’m not overloading you with too much information Elliot. I know for me, when I get a couple of really good nights of sleep, everything improves especially my tinnitus.

I’m not sure how to send the link actually but I saw what you mean. They have a number of berry magnesium supplements. You want the one that specifically says, “calmful sleep.” It has the different ingredients that I mentioned which are known to help with sleep.

The other ones only seem to be very expensive ways of supplementing magnesium. They just contain magnesium and fruit flavouring. Yikes, what a ripoff! Lol

Not heard of it before and I'd be astonished if it does anything for chronic tinnitus, but probably no harm in trying it. Seems a bit pricey tho'.

Unfortunately, any medical problem for which there is no standard cure or reliable treatment is fair game for those who wish to take advantage of people who are seeking help for their problem. Newspapers and magazines and especially the internet, routinely publish advertisements about "tinnitus relief." These ads are usually accompanied by what appears to be convincing testimonials.

The advice we give is fairly straightforward:

- No matter how compelling, testimony is not evidence.

- Testimonials never indicate how many failed to find relief.

- These so-called "miracle cures" have not been scientifically tested for safety or effectiveness.

Our initial investigations indicate that the product is nothing more than an expensive combination of supplements, none of which have been shown to have any benefit for people with tinnitus.

Warmest wishes
