Hi there I'm also in the same boat as many of you. I have been to concert last week without ear protection ,which I was unaware of it tbh . I stayed there for almost one hour when I came out my ear was almost blocked and all I could hear was ringing, hissing. I thought I would be fine by the time I wake up. My hearing is almost back but ears are still ringing. It's going be a a week in few days since it happend. I'm so gutted whether I have damaged my ears or something which is driving me insane 24/7.
And not sure if the ringing will ever perish.
I've booked an appointment with an audioligist to get my hearing test done. See what they say

It's was due to loud music when I went to the concert it happend after that and my left ear is more sensitive to loud noise I doesn't hurt but I get discomfort from loud noise
Hi, I went to see stacks of bands in the 80s. I usually had ringing in my ears for a day or two afterwards. I didn't worry about it as I knew it would go away. It was 2001 when T came permanently (I hadn't been to a concert since 1990). I often wonder if all the exposure to loud music during the 80s caused T to visit more than a decade later. For sure, if I could turn the clock back I would've worn ear plugs when attending concerts or even not have gone at all.
That's true time is irreversable . If I had a knowledge about noise exposure, I would have had taken a good precaution. I wouldn't mind dealing with tinnitus but worst thing is if you have a hypracusis at the same time.
I have become a more intolerable to the normal sound.
I'm so gutted and not sure if it will ever go away.
Yes wise thing to get it checked out I do hope gose well for you I know iam stuck with mine till hopefully a cure comes along I wonder have many pop stars have got it what I don't like is those trying to cash in saying they have a cure when it dose not work and all is they after is money I don't mind paying if it's genuine but so far I haven't heard of anything unless someone knowns different I will certainly tell everyone if something comes along that does work
My ear was damaged really badly after a concert. It took 5 weeks for the hissing to calm down, and then another year for the high pitched whistle to go away or habituate, but it can get better. There is some hope.
