Tinitus fullness in ears

Hello and welcome to the British Tinnitus Association forum CamperT25. I hope that you find this a helpful and supportive place to help you manage your tinnitus.
It's not unusual to get a sense of fullness in your ear with tinnitus - it's a similar "phantom" (but real feeling) generated feeling like tinnitus.
However, as this is a new thing, it could be down to a physical issue such as ear wax build up or an ear infection, so do get it checked out by your GP.,

Hi Camper,
The muffled sound could be related to your ear drum. It might be malfunctioning. Is there a pulsating sensation? The faucet running sound is tinnitus. The two issues can be related but tinnitus happens in the brain as it tries to hear what's now not coming from the ear. Nothing you can do about that but ignore it. The muffled effect in one ear might be something treatable. I'd look into that. I'm currently being seen by an audiologist and an ENT for both issues and can relate. Were you exposed to loud noise recently? That would do it, however, there are a number of health problems that can cause it.
Things to consider: Do you listen to ear phones all day or too loud? Have you had an ear infection/sinus infection, stress, head trauma, lime disease, etc.
The best thing you can do for the symptoms is to stay calm. Spoil yourself by relaxing. Now you have a real good reason not to worry.
