I went to a tinnitus clinic and they recommended relaxation! I have managed to find the off switch for mine

Wish I could find an off switch to it. Should be getting a hearing aid this week my Dr said hopefully it will help I've tried all sorts with no joy

I'm the opposite I've lost all low pitch sound so my tinnitus is super loud most of the time. I have been referred to ent but that is way off yet. It's good you found how to switch it hopefully will find a way one day.

Hi Dayton, I too have chronic tinnitus and hearing loss in my left ear and finding it hard. I am wondering about Hypnotherapy as I get bad anxiety. I am making enquiries about it as I cannot seem to find much else that helps. I sleep ok though. I find being outside helps a lot, it calms me and I dont notice the tinnitus so much, but I cant spend every day outside as I work in an office. Many thanks, Sue

Hi kiwi I never thought about hypnotherapy might be worth looking into. Going outside doesn't help me either unfortunately it just makes my ear feel full and gives me headaches. The Dr put me on antidepressants for depression and anxiety which seem to help a little.

Many thanks John.

Hi John, I’m sorry that you are having a tough time with your ear. I went deaf in my left ear a year ago from labyrinthitis resulting with the tinnitus but I have got better gradually over the months. I get not so good days and other days I feel I’m coping quite well. I find it hard in busy cafe’s with voices and clattering cups and coffee machines, they drive me mad! Do u find that too? I am sure In time things will get easier where the brain adjusts. We just have to make some changes to how we do things now and take time to relax more. All the best, Sue (kiwi) 😊

Hi again yes to many sounds at once are no good for I can't tell things apart it takes to much concentration. Sorry for the late reply I've had no sleep for the last 2 days.

Thanks John.

I've tried hypnotherapy and it does help with anxiety. Also there are loads of CDs out there and free ones on Youtube. If you want one for tinnitus, then go to David Knight's website
