Hi all. I've been quiet ( how ironic!) on this forum due to being very poorly with my tinnitus and the resultant CFS . however , I keep plodding on and after 5 and half years of not finding anything or anyone who could provide an explanation that fitted my continually downward trajectory of pain , I came across this yesterday in Mindfulness for Health by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman. I finally have a bit of hope ! They ' get ' tinnitus and offer ways to manage and improve my life .
I hope it is ok to share this

Hi I really hope you get some positive results from this. Keep us posted. I'm sick of mine now, just wish I could switch my brain off from constantly thinking about it.
Hello Lyndsay..have missed you and I'm sure the mindfulness will work because it helps us to 'be' in the moment rather than have time, with all it's stresses and strains, both real and imaginary, crowding in - which makes me exhausted before I even wake or move.
I'm just recovering from shingles so the M.E and tinitus is only being held in place by regular 'coming into THIS moment' time.
I found some thoughts on the internet which helped me - like - 'It is ok to say 'no' !
Thanks everyone . I have to admit I'm getting fed up now , and I'm a tough cookie ! I would bring out the flags if today were as bad as yesterday ! That would be progress. I think it's the not understanding why that's getting to me , and I have to ( finally admit) I'm beginning to feel anxious now as it's just crazy . That vicious circle. Heh ho...
