14 months into my battle against tinnitus!!

I've called it a battle because that is what it feels like. I have a high pitched whistle in my right ear and hyperacusis in my left ear. Every sound in my left ear sounds really loud and as if it is coming via an old short-wave radio. It came out of nowhere and has had a devastating affect on my life.

Lost count of the number of medications. On a positive note. I so sleep well.

I have read that some people have had this for over 20 years. Hoping that someday someone finds a cure

Hi

Surprised you have not received a reply yet, some people have T of some sort all there life, mine has been hanging around for coming up to three years, not worse but no better, I am learning to get on with it.

I don't think it will ever go away I'm afraid, a cure one day would be amazing, but till then mate try and be positive and keep on learning to cope with it.

All the best Gary
