Thanks for finding this for me - there doesn't seem to be any new breakthrough. It's coming very close to copying an existing proprietary model (as far as I can see, I'm not an acoustic specialist) which hasn't had clear clinical results either. As with all crowd funding, it's a risk and one only you can decide whether it's worth taking.
