Hi I had this test with BH and it was very accurate, as my GP insisted they do one to compare with it and they were similar readings. X

I have done mine through blue horizon, its so easy to do as long as you warm your fingers up first, I had my results within 3 days, really good beats trying to find someone to draw your blood x

Hi Penny, All their tests are very accurate and well researched trialled etc. Some tests are much better than the NHS ones too and more of them. That is why all the private hospitals use them and lots have their Labs in the hospital too.The Doctor`s Lab.Good you ask all these questions, determined to get better, quite the right attitude as you know best, your body etc, as my endo keeps telling me

Best wishes,

Jackie

What results are tested for with this test? Is it just T4, T3 and TSH ?

Phoebs, on Blue Horizon`s TUK site there are some tests but on their main site you can have any that are done NHS and others not done NHS, some too are better ones, than the NHS. it is really all about costs. Always quote TUK 10 for a £10 discount. City are cheaper, but not quite as good for vit D, but do the standard NHS one. It is best ,to first try and get the GP to do them all for free. Then if they will not do them all, likely they will not especially do Free T3 ( not the other T3, no good), then ask the Gp if they will do it if you pay, usually about £10, depends on GP, mine hysterical at the mere suggestion! Then pay for the ones you really need. You can do it all yourself, finger prick etc. If you prefer venous blood they send you everything but unless you know some one who will draw it for free, it means paying, NHS if they will, usually free, or pay most private hospitals, just to draw the blood, phone first, usually about £15 but told the Nuffieied is £40!!!

Hope that helps,

Jackie
