Excerpt;

"There's also evidence that BPA may influence the metabolism of endogenous steroids, which may be a factor in adrenal fatigue and its treatment, as well as and its treatment, as well as dysautonomia stemming from adrenal problems. Many with hypothyroidism also suffer from co-morbid adrenal fatigue and BPA may be a contributing factor in this." (end of excerpt)

What is Dysautonomia?

Dysautonomia refers to a disorder of autonomic nervous system (ANS) function. Most physicians view dysautonomia in terms of failure of the sympathetic or parasympathetic components of the ANS, but dysautonomia involving excessive ANS activities also can occur. Dysautonomia can be local, as in reflex sympathetic dystrophy, or generalized, as in pure autonomic failure. It can be acute and reversible, as in Guillain-Barre syndrome, or chronic and progressive. Several common conditions such as diabetes and alcoholism can include dysautonomia. Dysautonomia also can occur as a primary condition or in association with degenerative neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease. Other diseases with generalized, primary dysautonomia include multiple system atrophy and familial dysautonomia. Hallmarks of generalized dysautonomia due to sympathetic failure are impotence (in men) and a fall in blood pressure during standing (orthostatic hypotension). Excessive sympathetic activity can present as hypertension or a rapid pulse rate.

Sorry if this is getting involved but toxic fillings in the mouth are (in my eyes) ludicrus also being v close to the thyroid would make sense it would have an effect on it.

Hi Smooze,

After a sleepless night, I am on the phone now trying to arrange an allergy test. It might just be me that has a reaction or a different material used to yours, If you havent had a reaction then I wouldnt worry but I certainly have. xx

Thanks for this.

Just shared the first link on my Facebook. I have an amazing dentist, who is gradually replacing all my metal fillings(for free). I have had loads of dental issues, mainly severe and aggressive periodontal disease, which 2 previous dentists failed to diagnose. My new dentist diagnosed this first visit, so has not only helped me to save my teeth(for now anyway) but is also helping with my overall health I believe. A health professional who actually cares and does an amazing job - one in but a few I feel.

Hi All,

Recently I read a book - 'It's all in your head'. It scared me to death, I felt like rushing off post haste to the dentist! I've got very old amalgam fillings, and have had numerous health

issues for years, I'm convinced there is a link.

I think there are just so many things that can cause our health problems but eradicating as many as possible can only bring a positive effect! :)
