Storage of blood sample, do I need to refrigerate until I post this afternoon? (wanted to perform test first thing)

Maybe phone the lab to check but I wouldn't have thought so.
Thanks
Wasn't sure t.b.h. literature doesn't say I need to, but have read in a few places that bloods should be refrigerated once taken until tested, this relates to taking of blood at doctors etc. Tried calling a few times but get answer phone, Ive emailed too. I'm a wuss with blood, nearly faited after three finger pricks and blood for just one tube this morning, just want to minimise risk of having to re take test lol
No it's not nice taking your own blood but someone may reply more positively to your question.
Speak of the devil, just got email back, said fridge is ideal, but to post a.s.a.p. Thanks again for quick response .
