Happy Easter to all you lovely fellow sufferers. Early days but I just had to share T3 experience with you.

Yesterday I started T3 taking one half in the morning then another half in the evening.

I really wasn't expecting any difference in my symptoms for quite sometime however I was amazed how it within half an hour my pain subsided my head became clearer and my vision less blurred.

This morning I took my T3 I cut it in half managed to have a shower early this morning which was a triumph for me as usually i would drag myself in the shower after 12.00PM then feel absolutely exhausted and feel like I just wanted lie down again.

Not this morning Folks showered and dressed by 10.00PM. Gently does it.

Today I was able to clean my kitchen without the hoover being sat in the middle of the floor for so long giving me the evil eye and me giving one back. Normally it would take me all day and such a struggle to tackle cleaning the kitchen. Today was an enormous achievement I managed to clean the kitchen and mop the floor all within an hour. Fanbloodytastic.

Not that I am going to all being well spend the new me cleaning all the time I have better things to look forward to like going for long walks with my dogs, riding my bike that has been sat in the garage for 4 years never being used.

I don't think I will be tackling climbing a hill just yet but there ain't no stopping me now as the song goes.

I am aware that some sufferers unfortunately can not tolerate T4 or even T3 but I do believe there are other options Armour and Ertha.

It is still early days for me and I am delighted to share my experience with you of what a difference can make from just being on T4.

Hey ho there is hope after all.

I am so thankful for all the information and guidance from Scottish petition ladies and Thyroid Uk members.

I especially want to thank Jackie who pointed me the the right direction of a good Endocrinologist that believed in me and was prepared to prescribe me with T3.

I am truly grateful to you all for pointing me in the right direction.

You have helped to boost my self esteem and my confidence and help give me the determination to fight for my health and our worthy cause.

A month ago I was in the depths of despair. I was in a black hole struggling to get out of. I had considered giving up.

I told my husband I could not live like it anymore.

Reference T3 after reading how some sufferers have improved in health it gave me hope that my health may improve my health and gets rid of the the awful random symptoms so I can then give more of time to help raise awareness and help to raise money for our cause.

I truly hope it is goodbye to the awful random symptoms for good.

Thank you so much I support you all the way.

Fantastic! But a little warning, if you overdo things too soon, you may find you crash in a couple of days! However, this is really interesting, I'm so pleased for you. Are you keeping a diary of these changes, as well as basal temperature etc. It's so easy to forget the changes in a few months and really good evidence for the Dr.

Enjoy the Easter break!

As MaryMary said, don't rush things let the T3 work slowly over the next few weeks but am so glad you are feeling much better, even on the first day.

Glad you are improving and Happy Easter!

I don't know what size of tablet you are cutting and taking but you might like to know that T3 is available in 5mcg size. It's not in the regular "medical bible book" that endos and GPs have (I assume when the next republished version is out it will be) but if it's written on a prescription then chemists can get it. I get mine from Boots no problem.

Thanks clare bear thanks for your kind comment. Made a big mistake today I thoughtI would try sugar lemon meringue pie just to see how it effected me while on T3 as I know I suffer after having sugar. Low and behold sickly feeling in stomach and chilled to bone and hot flushes. Sugar is definitely off my list of foods.

Kind regards

I am so interested to read your comment about sugar and T3 because I have been on T3 now for six weeks and noticed a similar reaction, plus I actually am not craving it any more. Yesterday however I had a mini crave and ate some chocolate brownie. Like you I felt sick and ill. As anyone else noticed this?

Hi Kerry, for a small amount price, you can buy from any chemist, a proper pill cutter. Please be aware though, for safety*s sake, NO SCORE LINE ON PILL--DON*T CUT !!

I started on T3 some 7-8 years ago. It felt like having really clean glasses after them getting murkier and murkier. For a while. By late last year, it didn't seem to make any difference at all.

I've now jettisoned all my T4 with the agreement of my endo, and take only T3 - 2x25mcg tablets of Cynomel every night at bedtime. Apart from life being almost unbearably stressful at the moment, I really do feel much better without the T4, and on some days 'almost' human.

Only 2 months in, I won't dare to push it too far.

Can I ask about taking it at bedtime? My doc said "Take it in the morning with your thyroxine" but I take mine at night. But I can take the T3 at night too? I find I sleep better when I take T4 at night.
