At last i managed to get my results off nurse ... - Thyroid UK
At last i managed to get my results off nurse can you help me with them. 31.12.12 serumfree T4 level 9.9 .Serum TSH level6.12 .
We really need to see the reference ranges, especially for T4 as these can be very different from one area to another.
Your TSH looks high, or at least the high end of normal. This means you likely have hypothyroidism. Depending on the reference range for your T4, it could be in range (albeit towards the bottom of that range) or it could be low. If it is below range they should be treating you. If T4 is still within range, they may not treat (even though they really should if you have symptoms). Your doctor may agree to treat if you have hypothyroid symptoms with these results. You really should go and see a doctor about it though. If they won't treat, ask for another blood test. If you still have such a high TSH they should treat because then it clearly wasn't just down to being unwell at the time or any of the other things that can cause TSH to be temporarily high.
I hope you have some success with your doctor.

we will be able to help if you give us a bit more information please
ie: are you diagnosed already and on medication? if so when did you start medication and what do you take and at what dosage, how long have you been on this dosage? how do you FEEL? have you had other things tested like fT3/vitamin B12/vitamin D/iron/ferritin etc?
thank you
