How do people get through the day if still able to work? Whilst Im at work I generally survive on adrenalin and the love of my job. However, it feels like the minute I walk through the door my energy totally is delpeted and I have to sit or often lay down and thats me done for the day. Does anyone else have similar experiences?

Adrenalin Rush
I know exactly how you feel. I've got to the point where I can't work anymore.
So infuriating when I used to be really fit, work, gym 3-4 times a week and walking 30+ miles a week. Now a short trip to the local shop leaves me puffing like a steam train and exhausted for the rest of the day.

I'm going back to work next week after 9 months off with my back , I don't know how I will be as I do still feel knackered all the time , just found out that i do have sleep apnea , so just hope I don't fall asleep at work what is it that makes us so sleepy ? I would love to get a adrenalin rush

Since I sorted out the adrenals, after doing a saliva test and finding I was low in cortisol at mid morning and early afternoon, I've been good at staying awake all day. I never need an afternoon nap now, although at one time I could never get through the day without one.
If you run on adrenalin because you are short of cortisol it leaves you feeling tired and ragged is the only word I can find to describe it...... not a nice tired, but a teeth grinding anxious tired......
Have you had an adrenal saliva test?

No. Many other tests as my bloods are "normal" so only just got to gd endo and treatment for hypo
Hi,
There is a good chance that if you've been hypo for some time the adrenals will have been taking up the slack and working overtime to get you through the day.
Problem is they get tired and then the thyroid meds don't appear to help..... Saliva tests are only available privately.... Genova charge about £75 for them.
