TSH LEVELS.

Could someone tell me if TSH levels should be supressed when on thyroxine,Just read my test results going back to 1999 and most of the time it sits at 0.10 (0.35-3.3) my doctor told me that this is normal !!!!!

Most doctors don't like TSH to be suppressed, as they often (mistakenly) think I means we will be hyper. How are you feeling?

My TSH is 0.01 and am fine. I wasn't when on levothyroxine but am now taking dessicated thyroid hormone which the NHS is reluctant to do. These meds have been used for more than 100 years.

If your doctor is willing, he can reduce your levo by 50mcg and give you 10mcg of T3 - this may make a difference to how you feel. Some people are poor converters of T4 so they don't respond to it.
