Can I take vitamin B comlex with thyroxine

I do, because I have been told by a sports nutritionalist that it won't affect the levo uptake. Be interesting to see what others say though.....The main ones to avoid are calcium and iron within two hours of taking your levo dose.

I don't agree. Supplements can affect the uptake of levo and it is recommended you take them about 4 hours after taking levo.

I asked a dr I'm seeing about this (he's off the list supplied by thyroid uk) and he said its fine to take them together, there aren't issues with the thyroxine absorption. I'm not saying he's right necessarily, but I did take his word for it, so fingers crossed!

I don't take anything with my levo - except a mug or two of warm water. I leave an hour before having food or a cuppa - this suits me as I'm not that hungry when I first wake. I take vitamin supplements several hours later. I don't see the point of taking things at the same time as there's no need and I'm undermedicated so I need my levo to have every chance!
