Went to docs about thyroid and asked whether my thyroid problem was Hashimoto's or not he said my antibodies had been tested when diagnosed and it wasn't auto immune I'm just a bit a surprised really as I was under the impression this was the most common form.Do you treat it in the same way?
Thank you Vanessa

Why am I hypo? Don't know. But, thankfully, I do not seem to have the "other" issues so many with autoimmune forms seem to suffer.
I take my levothyroxine at bed-time every day - and feel better for it.
Mostly people are asking the other way around - Do you treat autoimmune forms the same as non-autoimmune? The answer is that in terms of providing sufficient thyroid hormone, yes.
