I have been on Levothyroxine for a few years after radio active iodine treatment but am now getting a salty taste on my lips could this be due to a change of brand or any other suggestions? Many Thanks

Well, have you changed brand? If you have not changed brand, then it would not be due to that as none of the makes available in the UK has, to the best of my knowledge, recently reformulated.

I know that Wockhardt have an intense sweetness.

Hi Never heard this but certainly it is usually due to dehydration so make sure you are drinking a lot of fluid,in particular water, if on diuretics even more important.

Hi,

Weirdly, I too had RAI 4 years ago and am on thyroxine and have developed the same problem.

Could be a coincidence. Have researched it online, it can be due to blocked salivary glands.

Not sure how to fix it though.

Could also be due to sinus issues or dehydration as mentioned. Let me know if you find a solution as it is most annoying.

I didn't have radioactive iodine, but had salty lips before starting my thyroid medication (Armour Thyroid, takes care of TSH, T3, T4).

This is a well written book. Read pages 769-770
