Have you been diagnosed hypo and taking medication? If not, GP's have been told to let the TSH rise to 10 (which we think is horrendous) but some prescribe about 5.

Has your GP tested your B12, Vitamin D, iron ferritin and folate to make sure they are at good levels. The first two vitamins are essential for good health and should be at the upper end and sometimes pains/aches could be due to deficiencies Don't just take his word 'normal'.

Always get a copy of your blood tests and you need to put the reference ranges of the test as labs differ and it makes it better for people to comment.

Thanks for your reply. Not on any medication. Told its depression/menopause. I exercise frequently to try to boost energy but have to do it in evening so I can go straight to bed. . I sleep at least 9 hours per night but need more. I cant believe it would go to 10, I wouldnt be able to get out of bed. I will ask about b12 and iron studies but because I am a nurse I find my gp does not like me to tel him what I want! I have found this forum so helpful as I know now I am not going mad! Thank you.
