Happy new year to one and all! :0)

So what does everyone hope for in 2013?!

My wish is I get well enough I can plan things in advance. Can say yes to going to some event in the near or distant future. Can enjoy a full day, go to bed and sleep well, then get up and look forward to the same again, again and again! Lol

All the best

It can happen - it is just finding a sympathetic doctor and being allowed to trial some alternative thyroid hormone (even the addition of T3 to T4 can help many) which suits you.

Some wishes can come true and I hope 2013 is a good year for you.

All the best for 2013.

Hi Si - I hope you achieve your wish in 2013. I am so much better than I was this time last year - I still can't quite believe it :) Are you still in touch with Dr P? xx

Yes I have been suffering with insomnia too. Have recently increased from 1.75 grains to 2.25 so decided to add in a 1/4 grain at night. I slept like a log last night which is very unusual but today am more tired - not sure why? I suppose I did go for a lovely 5 mile walk yesterday but even so thought more sleep rather than less sleep would help...xx

..... Have you considered a grounding sheet to help with sleep Clare? They are beautiful :0)

So do you think you're going hyper or something since the increase?! Why the increase at all though if you're feeling good ? X

Hi Si - no not feeling hyper - generally feeling much better since the increase but a bit worn out today. I had to increase as was feeling gradually worse with increasing headaches and darker yellowis vision and my blood tests showed low ft4 and just in range ft3.

What is the grounding sheet like and are you finding it helpful? x

Yeah I guess we all have to take into account even healthy people get tired. Hard to tell what's causing ours sometimes isn't it. May be there is no stability with this condition :0/

Yes! The grounding sheet is great!! Sleep is like a coma these days! Lol mostly anyway. My sister and her daughter got one each and they said straight away they were sleeping much better! My sister is a major fan of grounding now! :0) x

Hi Clarebear, have found that taking my d3 in the morning has really helped with my insomnia, also listening to classic fm which starts at 10 pm having it on low really helps, got really fed up of seeing the clock go round, weird because thought being hypo was being sleepy ,do feel sleepy once l sit down to watch tv,but often once ready for bed could lay awake for hours, may look into grounding sheet as well, continued good health for you, happy new year ,hugs eve x
