Hypothyroidism and (Male) Libido

Hi, I am male and would like to ask other male Members of this forum if they have experienced loss of libido, as I have, while on LevoTR, or as a result of the condition before starting LevoTR? Difficult one for guys to respond to given our usual male reluctance on such matters but would appreciate a yay or nay.

hi there , i cant speak for the males out there but as a female i have definitely noticed a vast change in my libido, and have read somewhere that males can too , sorry i cant tell you the source of this info but ill keep looking for it for you and post if found

hi jack, the next morning after taking my first dose of thyroxine i went for a pee and my penis felt numb. i went home and had a ---- but could hardly feel a thing and it took me 40 minutes. no bother getting one on though. the endo laughed when i asked him what was wrong with my endo. joking aside i'm nearly going round the twist with frustration. it got better on leothyronine alone but my endo wants my tsh and t4 to increase. don't know why cos i don't have a thyroid gland, t4 is not needed if using t3 stand alone so i must assume that the tsh must be dangerous in some way charging round the body asking for more t4. here's hoping our knobs get better in the new year. al.

This is very strange, usually this should help your Test and free Test levels. What are your hormone levels, Free Test, Dihydrotest, Estradiol ultrasensitive, prolactin?
