I take 100mg of levethyroxine everyday plus I am supposed to take ferrous sulphate 200mg (no stores)but don't take as I have to be careful when I take them but do have tablets which I take most months to reduce bleeding for my heavy period.

Resently, I felt very tired, gained some weight, loss of period and constipation but my results came back normal - is there something else going on?

Hi Myra, First of all, if you should be taking ferrous sulphate and aren't, then this can be the cause of your sympoms directly or indirectly.

If you do take it, make sure you take it well away from your levothyroxine, though.

Secondly, always ask for your exact results. Saying "normal" is not good enough for you to make a choice about what is needed. You may need an increase in levothyroxine if your TSH isn't at the bottom of the range and if your FT4 isn't at the top of the range. Send me an email for the Pulse Magazine article.
