Hi I got this brand when I was discharged from hospital and the last few times I have been given this brand. I was just wondering if this is one of the good brands out there?

Crescent Levothyroxine

This has been discussed a few times recently- you can see all posts if you put ‘crescent’ in the search bar. This is one:

As I’ve had an adverse reaction in the past (to Teva in my case) my GP agreed to name brands I can tolerate on my prescription, which helps me obtain a consistent supply.
hi there are no good or bad brands .. some brands don't suit some people , but it;s very individual .... for instance , one brand that quite a lot of people have problems with is Teva Levothyroxine ,,, but there are also plenty of people who prefer Teva to other brands.
if you haven't noticed any specific problems while taking crescent ,then there is nothing to worry about , but it is always a good idea to keep a record of which brands you have had over a few months/ years and be observant of how you feel on each , note any differences you feel and over time you can see if any particular brand is having a negative effect.
it can take a while to be sure if a period of feeling worse is really due to a particular brand , or just coincidence .. it took me a few years of getting Teva occasionally to finally realise that after a couple of weeks on Teva it made me feel yuck/ undermedicated when i'd been feeling better for the previous 2 months on different brands.
helvella had a good idea for an easy way to keep track of which brand you took / when : helvella.blogspot.com/p/hel... /helvella-how-to-keep-history-of medicines
