FT4 levels dropped.....

Hi,My last thyroid panels have seen a significant drop in FT4 over two tests compared to the two tests I took last year;

9th October '24: 9.5 pmol/L Range 12 - 22

5th October '24: 9.9 pmol/L Range 12 - 22

24th Jan '25: 7.3 pmol/L Range 7.7 22

27th March '25: 7.2 pmol/L Range 7.7 22

All testing protocols followed, same testing lab, all tests are 75mcg T4, same brand of Levo.

Does anyone know why this is? I don't understand where 2.0 pmol/L has gone?

Many thanks 😊

Same T3 as well, 45mcg per day, multi dosed.

please add ranges

Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test

Is this how you do your tests

Which brand levothyroxine

Always same brand?

and which T3

EXACTLY what vitamin supplements are you taking

Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins

Testing options and includes money off codes for private testing

thyroiduk.org/testing/

Medichecks Thyroid plus BOTH TPO and TG antibodies and vitamins

Blue Horizon Thyroid Premium Gold includes BOTH TPO and TG antibodies, cortisol and vitamins

Medichecks and BH also offer private blood draw at clinic near you, or private nurse to your own home…..for an extra fee

Only do private testing early Monday or Tuesday morning.

Hi, I've added the ranges. I've always carried out the testing in line with the recommended protocols on here.

My supplements have been up and down for quite a while depending a what the practitioner has advised.

This test was blue horizon & GP's. Jan '25 test was GP.

Same brand of T4. T3 is a mixture of Thybon & Tiromol. Been using MP for my T4 for months.

Thank you.

What’s your Ft3 and TSH ?

How much T3 are you taking

Perhaps get next increase in Levo to 87.5mcg daily (or 75mcg and 100mcg alternate days)

75mcg is low dose Levo

TSH: 0.01 r0.27 - 4.20

FT3: 9.0 r3.1 - 6.8

My FT3 is high as I took my 3am dose of 12.5mcg. These results won't be seen by my Dr, they are just for my reference. I've been taking a 3am dose to help my low cortisol and I believe it has helped a little. I kept my 3am dose as I wanted to check by blood cortisol, 350 mol/L r73.8 - 507

I take 45mcg a day over 3 doses.

I was thinking the same, making a small increase in T4 and see how I fell after 6 weeks.

Any other changes, like exercise levels?

Hi, no major changes. Someone on a FB group has suggested diet or further thyroid gland destruction due to hashi's could be the cause.

I am worried it's been converted to RT3 or something...
