Advantages of face-to-face vs Video appointments with a consultant

Are there any?

Is f2f better than a video call?

I have graphs and tables of changes over time but are they likely to read them if I hand them a copy and or email them?

I think it very much depends on the consultant KatyMac68. I’ve had a positive video consultation with an endo, who discussed the information I had previously sent to him (ie the graphs and charts!).

Personally, I would choose face to face as a preference, but would opt for on line if I was unable to make the journey/ distance was a consideration/ I had good reviews about the practitioner.

Which ever you decide, BEFORE consultation, definitely send over a short summary of your thyroid journey so far and spreadsheet of results and ranges

Thanks, do you think they will read it?

I have poor relationships with medics and I'm not entirely sure why (fairly sure asd/adhd don't help)

Yes they should read this BEFORE consultation

If you go into a consultation blind without sending in test results and summary……there’s too much information to get across
