Hello all,
if I go to a private endo (who also works as an NHS endo ) & I am prescribed T3.... can I then see them as an NHS patient & get T3 via the NHS?

This might be an individual thing and best to check with the Endo's secretary. Logically it should work but what some Endo's do privately they may not on the NHS.
Thank you - as follow up to that, can one get a GP referral to an NHS endo who is not in your area? My GP is happy to refer me to a named NHS endo but forgot to ask whether they have to be in my NHS authority area.
I believe your GP might need permission to refer you out of area. Check at GP surgery.
You can be referred to any Consultant in the NHS you just need a referral letter off your GP. I got one for a dermatologist not in my area and years ago one to see Dr Skinner who is sadly not with us anymore
I just googled and found this about referrals
healthwatch.co.uk/advice-an...
Thank you that's helpful 🙏
I feel Dr Skinner saved my life . He was a loose cannon who got struck off so sad he died
