Insomnia and eating at night and taking levothyroxine

Having bad insomnia...have taken melatonin at 10pm 2mg ...and magnesium...but racing brain at 3..4..am...think it may be my hrt patches not working well either..do need to swap back to gel?..anyway..I find a bowl of cereal and paracetamol (for my tired headaches) soothe me a little and then go back to bed at 7/7.30am...to tdu and sleep foe a few hours..only problem is...when done take my levothyroxi e?as now just had paracetamol and cereal :-//
