Hi

So far my bloodwork shows no thyroid condition thank god. But I’m getting these very unusual dumps after eating. I am so frightened and still don’t have no answers. I’m going to a gastro tmrw. I will update you

You might want to find a more appropriate group to ask your questions about dumping syndrome as likely not many will have experienced it in a thyroid group.

My Father developed dumping syndrome , as a consequence of major surgery for oesophageal cancer which included removing part of his stomach .... it took a long time for an observant doctor to realise that it was dumping syndrome , because for a long time everyone else dismissed it as 'getting drunk and falling over' syndrome ....

he'd suddenly go a bit 'vacant' in the middle of a conversation, then seem ok again for a few minutes,,, but then sweat would suddenly start beading on his forehead and if you didn't get him sat down pretty quick , he'd fall over.

I hate it when doctors and family/friends blame the sufferer for their own symptoms.

Oh so sad, my lovely FIL was labelled a drunk kept being found on the ground scans when he does showed many many mini strokes. 😞 (sad face)
