Post covid medication

Has anyone had to alter thyroid medication whilst recovering from covid?I was having mild palpitations and anxiety so reduced my t3 to just 2 x5mcg doses a day instead of 3x5mcg. No palpitations or anxiety at present. I will keep monitoring and hopefully back to normal dose in due course. Levothyroxine 125mcg throughout.

Yup. I even stopped it completely for a while, then restarted at a much lower dose.

Yes, i was very weak from covid just two weeks ago and unable to do much. This week I’ve had to lower my T4 liquid dose. I’ve even missed a T3 dose or two as I was feeling over medicated., starving and not sleeping very well. This is probably due to T3 being an energy boosting hormone and not using that energy up as you can’t due to energy. I think soon as you start getting back to normal and being busy you may be able to go back to your normal routine with your meds. I’m not quite there yet.

Interesting on so many levels and your replies too. I have no idea whether I have had COVID or not. I do suspect an illness I caught almost immediately after socialising with Chinese friends. However that was about three months before it became a ‘thing’.

Much later checks run in UK sewage (running late with their monitoring) showed COVID was in our sewage system about one year prior to its ‘discovery’.

I was watching a comedy on TV where a ‘doctor’ got caught up in a discussion about Covid. She interrupted herself whilst apparently saying (I think) everyone has now been exposed to it. It does make you question the purpose of vaccination now. Perhaps like the flu it will go on rapidly ‘changing’ every season.

So as usual we are left wondering (us especially) whether to vaccinate or not etc etc.

That's my next dilemma, do I vaccinate or not, I've had covid 3 times,Feb 2023 and Nov, October 2024,although it has knocked me,the last one had severe symptoms for 4 days, and has appeared to go quicker than previous 2...question is do I take it on the chin or vaccinate?

The very first vaccine I had 3 years ago gave me tinnitus, which I still have, no change. So I have been very reluctant to have any more. Then 2 years ago just before Christmas my Husband and I both had the Covid jab, and we both got covid afterwards over Christmas quite badly. Then for months afterwards we both had continuous colds and he had shingles. Apparently a lot of people got shingles after covid .So I think that the covid jab maybe weakened our immune systems, so we haven't had any jabs since.

Hi, can you remind the vaccine you had was astra zeneca or glaxo brand?

astra zenica, which they don't use anymore!

Sounds like yellow card should be filled in for that!

Yes I did a yellow card, so did a lot of other people for tinnitus and other ear problems. But too late when you've got something for the rest of your life. So I'm very wary about having any vaccine now, I don't even have the flu one.

Dr Assem Malhotra has things to say. He was involved with Dr. Malcolm Kendrick re: statins and he is a cardiologist. I am seriously thinking of no more Covid vaccinations. We live in times where it’s difficult to make decisions. Who to believe?

I think I'll take my chances with no vaccination

I still have tinnitus too after 1st Moderna Vax here in U.S. I never got the 2nd/booster shot 4 weeks later, which was way too soon anyway. As far as I know, I haven't had covid.
