Hi everyone, I recently had a cortisol test done and don’t understand the results, can anyone shed any light on them? Been feeling quite stressed recently and sleeping has been dreadful, assumed my cortisol levels may have been high.

hello, did you alter your dose after this post 3 months ago?

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Have you retested recently?

The guidance was to reduce T3 and slowly increase T4.

My guess is balancing this should have helped you. Also you may now be under replaced so recent results would help.

Hi I have reduced T3 and upped T4. Had blood test last week and T4 was low and T3 was a bit higher. Will wait a little longer and re test. I have awful insomnia and I take sleeping pills!

I recommend posting those most recent results and ranges here for others to comment. If FT3 is higher than 3 months ago this might explain the trouble you are experiencing.

Had blood test last week and T4 was low and T3 was a bit higher.

can you add actual results

Perhaps ready to reduce T3 again and increase levothyroxine again

What vitamin supplements are you taking

What are vitamin results

It’s challenging for adrenals to cope with

Once you get on correct dose……they should recover

Aiming for Ft4 50-60% through range

11 months ago you were on 75ml liquid levothyroxine and 20mcg T3

TSH- 0.03 (0.35-4.94)

Free T3 4.0 (2.4-6.00)

Free T4 11.1 (9.00-19.00)

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

It was suggested then that Ft4 was too low and next step was to increase levothyroxine

How much levothyroxine were you taking BEFORE T3 was added

Liquid levothyroxine…..you may be better to split dose …half waking and half mid afternoon

T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test

is this how you do your tests

TSH 0.01 (0.35-4.94)

T4 8.6 (9-19)

T3 5.7 (2.4-6.0)

On 50mg T4 & 45mg T3

hi there my results a couple of weeks ago TSH 0.01 (0.35-4.94)

T4 9.1 (9.0-19)

T3 5.8 (2.4-6.0)

I’m on about 75ml T4 and now on 40 mg T3

(Was on 50 T4 & 45 T3)

I feel anxious, stressed and have awful insomnia they all seem to trigger each other. I have had some personal stress to deal with which I’m sure has affected how I’m feeling. Looks like I’m on target with T3 but obviously not good on T4 levels
