Was the test done early 7-9am, water only before and 24 hours after last dose?
Chances are you aren't converting very well as your slightly high fT4 isn't translating into a very low TSH suggesting your fT3 is probably on the low side
Have you checked your B12, Vit D, folate and ferritin?
The test was done about 11:00 am, fasting, water only and I think I did take my medicine in the morning, but I don't remember (though I know that's important) I asked for the (f)T3 test as well, because I have a history of not converting, but as we all know, UK won't prescribe T3. Which is frustrating since if I take T3 then I take less levothyroxine, and all is well. They did not take the other labs. I do think I need to see a private endocrinologist.
Worth getting a full private test done correctly and present it to your GP
You can get T3 via the NHS in certain areas more easily than others but you need to request an Endo referral, have a look at the list to see if there is a T3 aware Endo in your area and request them by name
You will need to test Ft3 privately……and test vitamin levels at least annually
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Testing options and includes money off codes for private testing
