Anxiety after levo increase
It usually passes after 5-6 weeks so hang on in there... other things to check, are you getting enough Vit D, folate and where are your iron levels? Do you take magnesium?
Have you had your cortisol level checked?
Hi no I haven't had cortisol checked .is there somewhere I can do this ? I dont get on with magnesium supplements but do epsom salt foot baths and magnesium and iron and potassium all ok but folate is low .trying to concentrate on getting that up.not sure about vit D I supplement with that using better you spray but would I need to check my levels as don't know if I should continuously take it
Your GP can do serum cortisol but this only gives total cortisol, many of us have done a saliva test which is more useful like this one (TUK10 gets 10% discount) cnslab.co.uk/hpa-axis-and-s...
Have you tried splitting your dose as some find this helpful?
Hi Andy Pandy.
You can buy an NHS Vit D blood test via Better You as it is best to check your level every 6 months to know how you are responding.
I can empathise with the anxiety you experience whilst increasing your dosage of Levo. I have found that a more gradual increase to build up to the new dose over 3 to 4 weeks has helped - assuming you have enough existing old tablets left to do so.
Being prepared and being good to yourself can be half the battle with anxiety. I always tell myself that I can take a rain check on future plans and situations should I feel the need to. It may not be as bad as you fear.
I think from another of your posts you are increasing from 75 to 100 mcg. I found that seemed a bigger step than previous or subsequent increases. Not a lot of fun. Hoping you soon feel a bit more relaxed.
