I'm finding it difficult to see the numbers clearly on that photo.

Can you type out the numbers with ranges for TSH, FT4 and FT3 please.

And say what dose of levothyroxine you are taking.

That's right. But they're wrong! Trouble is, they haven't a clue what T3 is or what it does, so they are scared witless of it, and seem to think that if they just stick their heads in the sand, it will all go away! It won't, of course. T3 will always be the active hormone needed by every single cell in your body to function correctly, and if it's low it will make you feel very unwell. Yours was very low on that previous test because you're a poor converter.

Actually there are some endos that do more or less understand the need for T3, but they're not easy to find. I take it the doctor you're referring to is a GP? They just don't learn about T3 in med school.

From what I can make out your ferritin, folate, B12 and Vit D are all low

TSH 5.41 mIU/L (.27 - 4.2) 130.8%

Free T4 (fT4) 17.9 pmol/L (12 - 22) 59.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 3.6 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8) 13.5%

T4:T3 Ratio 4.972

Are you still on bisoprolol?

I take 50 x 5 days and 75 x 2 days adjusted 4 weeks ago but t3 getting lower I don’t understand. My anxiety had been really bad lately I’m only 53kh but had full body scan and nuclear scans to rule out adrenal tumours but my adrenaline spikes my blood pressure causing episodes of high blood pressure

Endocrinologists have no faith in themselves. However they don’t seem to have a problem ensuring that GPs (and many other medics) know nothing about hypothyroidism either. Their ‘groupthink’ is downright disgusting.

There is some excellent research being done/ongoing but we never see it hitting actual ‘practice’.

My T3 has been in a downward trajectory since shortly after starting treatment, contributing to all sorts of problems.

There is plenty of evidence as to what can be done but certainly in the UK system of so-called NHS, it’s non-existent as far as I can see!

'50 x 5 days and 75 x 2 days adjusted 4 weeks ago but t3 getting lower'

Your TSH reading of 5.41  (.27 - 4.2) shows you are not taking enough levothyroxine. TSH needs to be nearer the bottom end of the range when on replacement thyroid hormone.

This is why your T3 is too low. If there's not enough T4, it cannot be converted to T3.

You need a dose increase asap. 75mcg every day would seem the next step.
