Seeking views because I have done two adrenal saliva tests in Feb 2023 and 2024 and both were low, showing adrenal fatigue stage II.
I’ve been on NDT Armour for a year and my FT3 has increased to mid-upper range. The private thyroid Dr didn’t increase my dose (1 and a 1/4 grain, I weigh 52kg) at my last review because he doesn’t think my remaining symptoms are due to hypothyroidism. He recommended I see a nutritionist about the adrenal fatigue.
I can’t really afford to do another private practioner so am reading up to see if I can make some positive changes to help my adrenals normalise. I would love to get off my heavy-duty sleeping tablets (Amitriptyline).
Advice appreciated 🙂

I have been taking Adrenavive, it is probably the best thing I’ve taken in 16 years. It’s only supplements, I was always told to take it as my adrenals were fatigued.
As you can see in my post, it’s only the supplement I have needed until recently. I’m not saying you should not take your thyroid meds .
In the US, you can probably still get Nutri-meds Adrenal cortex and Whole Adrenal. Those are the ones I used to take and found excellent until they were banned in the UK. nutri-meds.com/
I’m a bit scared to take adrenal cortex extract without reading more on the pros and cons. Once you start it and if it’s working, do you take it forever?
In the adrenal support supplements, I’m finding they contain rhodiola rosea, ginseng or l-glutamine which I already take in my recommended supplements from thyroid Dr.
I have blood pressure on the low end of normal so maybe I’ll try one with liquorice extract like Design for Health’s Adrenotone.
