High Thyroid antibodies - high also for Diabetes Type 1?

I'm one of those who had to get my own test done before the NHS would then do their own - it was very high.

It looks as if I may have diabetes 1/2 , I understand there is a blood test for those antibodies (type 1) is there a firm that is particularly reliable for this test?

Has anybody else been in this situation?

Advice would be gratefully received.

What indicates to you diabetes? High HBA1c? What are levels?

If you are over 30 years, generally doctors assume you have type 2 & will treat as required.

Medichecks offer a test to distinguish between type 1 & 2.

Dear PurpleNails,

Thank you very much for all the links and information. It means I am armed for my next consultation.

I love HealthUnlocked the mix of those who have conditions and those who are experienced and trained to handle conditions has given me understanding and tools to cope and manage.

I will report back when I have some results and my bacon has been saved yet again. Rosiebones
