1st blood results after block and replace ended

I have just had these blood test results back after 8 weeks without any medication after 18 months on block and replace therapy. Had a telephone appointment with the specialist nurse who said my levels were perfect. I feel pretty good at the moment although I did feel dreadful for 10 days after finishing the medication. I was just wondering if anyone could give any advice on these results and assure me that all is definitely okay for the moment, I’m well aware i will always have Graves’ disease but taking it one day at a time. Thank you for all the support you all give I really don’t know what I would have done without your advice.

Hi, your results don’t look too bad although I think the advice here is generally to get your TSH under 1 but if your not taking any medication I don’t know how you could do that. Concentrating on your vitamins & minerals might help increase conversion of T4 to T3. Have you tested any Vit D, selenium etc?

Thank you for your kind reply, I am taking Strivit D3 800 units every day on prescription ( maintenance dose) and 200 Selenium and I was thinking about vitamin B but not sure which ones to buy.

Igennus Complete Bs are the ones I take. From Amazon. They’re methylated. You might like to add some K2, Mk7 to your vitamin D as it’s always recommended & magnesium would help too. Useful as bath salts.

Hey there again :

Yes - these results are all in range and looking good :

A euthyroid blood test result from someone without any known thyroid issues would present

with a TSH at around 1.20/1.50 - with a T4 around 50% with T3 tracking just behind the T4.

Your TSH has recovered - and your T4 currently at around 60% and your T3 around 40% :

with your T3/T4 ratio now running at around 3.50 :

You might like to run your core strength vitamins and minerals just to ensure they are at good levels as when metabolism runs too fast or too slow - these essential building blocks - tend to nose dive through the ranges - compounding one's health unnecessarily.

thank you so much for the reply, the specialist nurse said they were perfect but didn’t really explain why, so thanks for that. I am still taking Strivit-D3 800 unit and 200 Selenium every day. I was wondering if there was anything else you would recommend, I have heard Vitamin B but there’s so many different types I’m not sure what to choose. Thanks again

Without knowing your actual results for B12, folate, ferritin and vitamin D it's a guess - as there are different strengths within each category and we need to supplement each independently with ' A ' grade supplements.
