Hello

I had removed my thyroid gland 12 years ago and I've been taking NDT manufactured from Thailand(THYROID-S) since 2017.

But since about 3 - 4 years ago, I feel exhausted after work and I had to sleep all day once a week. I'm tired so easily.

I felt well when first starting to take NDT, but I don't feel good anymore.

My height is 173cm and weight is 68kg.

Could someone give me an advise of doses of NDT or recommend other pills?

The picture is the most recent blood test results.

Thank you guys and I hope you can understand my english.

Hello Shiny and welcome to the forum :

When optimally medicated the TSH is usually low suppressed :

Your T3 looks to be around 85% with a very low T4 at around 10% :

Do you have some older blood test results from when on the same dose and can see if your T3 and T4 have changed much ?

I also take Thyroid S and have found this last couple of years that batches since reformulation have not been reliable - as I was very happy on Thyroid S for 4 years before from 2018.

I am now taking 23 prefixed Thyroid S batches and believe it has changed back again to what I knew and trusted.

No thyroid hormone replacement works well until ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin D are up and maintained at optimal levels -

and we suggest these are tested and supplemented independently as needed.

Anything containing biotin needs to be stopped around 7 days before the fasting blood test as biotin can interfere with the assays used in the laboratory when analysing the blood sample.

I don't know about Orthomol Vital F :

I don't know why but I thought that you were taking the new NDT Thyroid s just how is it possible to get old stock I would love to know the answer.

I have recently started taking ' in date ' prefixed 23 batch numbers and it seems much more like the ' old ' Thyroid S - to me -

I'm cross with myself for trying to get batches to work - that weren't quite right - and for me they were all prefixed 22 batch numbers - the balance of which I've now thrown away.

I have no old stock and do not know how to buy any old stock - and only take within BB dates as stated on the bottle.

You were lucky to find them great news. I agree about the 22 ones to.

I'm not sure its luck - and think the reformulation rethought :

Yes- thank you - I will -

it's only been a week and I plan to give myself a month before reporting in with you as last time my initial ' wellness ' fell away -

However - I'm not sneezing anymore - ( different fillers maybe )

and my brain is engaged - though maybe forum members can judge this better than me

and I'm just feeling better about taking these tablets -

rather than questioning myself about trying a T3/T4 combo or starting another stored batch from my cupboard - and throwing more money and product away.

May I ask how much you take and when to feel well, do you have your thyroid.

I am with Graves Disease and post RAI thyroid ablation 2005 - so presume my thyroid fully disabled and burnt out in situ -

Full details on my Profile page -

I take 1 + 1/2 grains at a toilet break at around 2/3 am :

Am 77 - eat 1 main meal a day at around 1.00 pm - BB time of day - mornings - mow my lawns, drive a little old car and look after myself -

May nod off for 10 minutes in the PM - in bed by 10 - up at around 5/6 :

Have tried adding a second dose but am not aware of any benefits

I have the same batch as you here. I have been very ill now for 22 months after the 22 batches didn't work anymore.

Have you ever taken more because 1.5 without a thyroid is not much.

How long have you been on Thyroid s I don't want to hijack someone else's page so can I PM you after looking at your profile if need be? Thank you. I hope to reach 78 years next month.

Yes - I know - I too have been unwell for around 15 months :

1 + 1/ grains was my dose for 4 years and I didn't have to think about anything - though still needed to supplement core strength vitamins and minerals -

This past 15 months I've had to adjust by 1/4 grain up or down from 1 + 1/2 grains to find a dose - but then this never seemed consistent within the batch :

Have you tried the 23 batch you have there ?
