graves - me again šŸ„“

ok Iā€™m losing my marbles here ā€¦

Just got back from Germany generally had a great time motorcycling around the Black Forest and through France etc (there were over 30 bikers on the chunnel and lil old me was the only female so surprised I didnā€™t grow a pair but hey ho šŸ˜‚)

I have weirdness here so listing symptoms not for anyone to really help just to erm list stuff ?:

I couldnā€™t really taste my chilli last night;

Couldnā€™t smell the coffee brewing and can only taste the teaspoon of honey in it - usually only have one black coffee a day;

Heart rate has increased over past week but due on period any day;

Slight tingling in hands and feet;

Not really hungry - I ate at 08:00 uk time and still technically running an hour behind;

Bloated slight swelling in hands face and feet;

Not breathless during walk this morning - got quite a stomp on in the cool weather šŸ™‚;

Experienced a touch of Hayfever in France (sneezing, itchy eyes) happens rarely but if pollen count is very very high;

Poly morphic light eruption has subsided;

Hair still falling out but thatā€™s been ongoing - I have loads so not too much of an issue;

Achey joints ie hands knee elbows and ankles but that started before I left;

Canā€™t see any hand tremors and I do keep looking ā€œdid it move? I think it moved!! Youā€™re not a robot stop being a paranoid tw@t!!!

Definitely had some more weight gain but maybe I did eat more than I thought? My mate seemed to be eating A LOT more than me and kept moaning because I wasnā€™t hungry šŸ˜•

Havenā€™t been sweating and had to turn shower up a bit yesterday - although full pjs and my winter duvet I was hot when I woke this morning šŸ˜‚;

Obviously Iā€™m tired but Iā€™ve been motorcycling for a week and covered over 1800miles so Iā€™m not surprised tbh

So Iā€™ll try to stab myself tomorrow morning so itā€™s not sat in the post overnight ā€¦ Iā€™ve not opened the package yet so hoping itā€™s not a sacrificial thing coz I doubt Iā€™ll get that much out šŸ„“šŸ¤žšŸ¼

just feel like something I just not quite right so I think something has either gone up or down - I punting on up šŸ¤”

Hi noonimportant,

Have you experienced the lack of smell and the loss of taste before?

It jumped out at me when I read your post as the loss of taste and smell can be due to Covid (or other virus cold etc); it may be an idea to test yourself just to rule it out?

With you being away travelling it could be the cause? Just a thought. Also whenever I get a virus it's always my taste and ability to smell that is affected.

I did think about that but ā€¦ no other symptomsā€¦ Iā€™ll see if I have any tests left though just in case

I was going to say lack of smell and taste ā€¦..possibly COVID

Aching joints - low vitamin D/ low thyroid hormones

Hair loss - low iron/ferritin

You got sound replies on your previous postā€¦ funny enough, as I read your post I could totally identify - and Iā€™m hashis hypo!!!!

Pennyannie is best on these kinds of graves questions, so just saying sheā€™s likely right esp when someone like me relates to your post.

Also you have brought up the smell/taste thing.

As Hedgeree notes - definitely a classic Covid tell.

That being said - my smell is totally dull and it impacts what I eat a little as well. I had Covid once years ago and I actually donā€™t think it was that. Iā€™ve never been too concerned but vaguely remember reading something in here that said itā€™s hypo related, but canā€™t remember.

Also - there is no doubt a full on motorcycle trip will both exhaust you in that good way, you know great friends fun times up busy all dayā€¦.

But I have also gotten used to the aftermath of having a ā€œnormalā€ trip or event ā€¦ it ricochets in unexpected ways for days/weeks after.
