Here’s the latest test results, apparently I am testing negative for the graves antibodies, I don’t fully understand what it all means and would really appreciate any advice.

Graves test results
Hey there again:
This blood test shows your TRab at 1 and under the range and this has been consistent for around the past year -
so the assumption is this was just a ' blip ' and your immune system now calmed down from whatever upset it 3 years ago and when your TRab were 3.80 :
The AT drug and treatment with Block & Replace - ' bought you time ' while we waited for your immune system to calm back down again -
so now, hopefully, your own daily thyroid hormone production will start building back up again - and your normal thyroid function return without the need for any medication.
Are you being discharged back out into primary care - or staying with the hospital for monitoring over the next 12 months orso ?
You have another post running asking similar - maybe close this one down - as it gets a bit confusing following 2 posts instead of 1 and you have more replies on the other post.
thank you for replying I didn’t post the blood results the first time sorry I’m a bit of a computer dinosaur that’s why I posted twice. I am being closely monitored by the endocrinologist for at least 18 months with a blood test every 3 months and a telephone appointment 1 week after every blood test and I have the specialist number to ring if I feel unwell which is really good. I’m just a bit worried about stopping the medication so abruptly.
No worries - I'm in the same computer playground -
Good to read you are not being immediately discharged -
Well this is how Block & Replace is undertaken - don't worry - and just ensure your core strength vitamins and minerals - those of ferritin, folate, B12 and vitamin d are maintained at optimal levels as if these are low in the ranges this can simply compound your health and well being further than necessary.
don’t worry Yoga54. I was on B&R and stopped all medication in one go. It took a while for my thyroid levels to come back into range (about 6 months) and I still had palpitations initially which I think might’ve been because of low T3 so I took beta blockers because they were really bad. I stopped these 3 months ago and had a blood test and all is ok with no palps. I took a while to stop the BBs and still had a higher heart rate than normal for a couple of weeks. It’s now back to normal.
Oh thank you for that Billycasper I think it’s the heart palpitations that I’m most worried about as they were awful at the start but thankfully the carbimazole stopped that after 10 days you just think god is my heart going to explode or stop. I’m glad you are feeling better yourself.
I might just add that on BBs I still got palpitations very occasionally but I narrowed it down to certain foods. I consulted a gut clinic and it turned out I was much improved on a low histamine diet. I’ve gradually introduced more foods now and I’m ok but at least I’ll now in the future what can trigger them. All the best.
That’s great advice thank you, when I was first diagnosed I stopped drinking Diet Coke and chocolate because it made my symptoms worse and spicy food gives me awful indigestion so I avoid that aswell. I’m also taking selenium and prescribed vitamin D maintenance dose which I will be continuing to take. Such a complicated process this thyroid lark, I didn’t even know what one was 3 years ago then wham mine went haywire. I have found yoga helps massively especially the breathing exercises if you blow out quickly when your heart races it stops immediately. Take care.
