Unwelcome marketing texts from Medichecks. Have you been receiving them too?

I’m not pleased to be getting offer codes from Medichecks by text.

I certainly never gave permission for my mobile number to be used this way.

Unusually texting STOP doesn’t work & there seems to be nowhere to stop them on my account.

I find them intrusive & irritating. I already know through emails about offers etc.

I’ve contacted them through their contact form. I think they might be breaking marketing rules using phone numbers without permission.

Yes. They have been sending messages on my landline. I haven't given them permission to use my landline for promotional messages. I find them intrusive and annoying.

Please contact them & complain. I greatly dislike the interruption too. Let’s hope if we complain they’ll stop

Contact them and complain as you are absolutely right, they are not allowed to do this.

Say that this is in breach of the Data Protection Act (it is). That'll get their attention!

It's probably either someone in Marketing not realising this breached data protection, or a system glitch. Either way, they need to fix it

I have written & I’m interested to see their reply. If it’s not adequate I’ll tell them about the Data Protection Act. Thanks for your advice.
